The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, has highlighted several ongoing and planned projects expected to contribute to the development of Ilara Kingdom and the wider Epe Division.
Epe Insights reports that the monarch made the disclosure while speaking during activities marking the sixth anniversary of his reign.
Oba Ogunsanwo listed the Integrated Solar Project among the major initiatives currently associated with development efforts in Ilara.
He also mentioned the proposed Naval Base and the Federal College of Complementary and Traditional Medicine as notable projects connected to the kingdom.
Another project highlighted by the monarch is a stadium being developed by the Lagos State Government in Ilara.
According to Oba Ogunsanwo, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals has also approved a new Primary Health Centre for the community.
The monarch further disclosed that land has been allocated to the Nigerian Navy for a shooting range.
He said the projects reflect the growing attention being given to Ilara and its development needs.
Oba Ogunsanwo expressed appreciation to government leaders and other stakeholders for their contributions to the development of Ilara and Epe Division.
He noted that their support since his ascension to the throne has contributed to the progress recorded in the kingdom.
The monarch said the collective efforts of stakeholders have helped position Ilara among developing communities in Epe Division and Lagos State.
He also expressed confidence that continued cooperation would attract further development opportunities to the area.
During the anniversary activities, Oba Ogunsanwo used the opportunity to encourage residents to participate actively in the democratic process.
He urged eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The monarch encouraged residents to use their voting rights to support candidates of their choice during the elections.
He stressed the importance of civic participation and responsible involvement in the electoral process.
Earlier, an inter-religious prayer session was held at the palace to commemorate the monarch’s six years on the throne.
Christian and Muslim worshippers joined together to offer prayers and thanksgiving for the monarch, Ilara Kingdom and its people.
The prayer session provided an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to reflect on the progress recorded during the six-year reign.
Oba Ogunsanwo commended his wife, HRH Olori Bolanle Ogunsanwo, for her support throughout his reign.
He also acknowledged the contributions of the Alara-in-Council and the Council of Baales.

The monarch further appreciated religious leaders, members of his ruling house and residents of Ilara for their continued support.
He extended his appreciation to people across Epe Division who have contributed to the advancement of Ilara Kingdom.
According to the Alara, the support received from these stakeholders has remained important to the development efforts of the kingdom.
He said the progress achieved over the past six years was the result of collective efforts and cooperation.
The monarch reaffirmed his determination to continue working towards a better and more prosperous Ilara Kingdom.
He pledged not to relent in his efforts to attract development projects and opportunities to the community.
Oba Ogunsanwo said he would continue to utilise his relationships and networks to support development initiatives in Ilara.
He also expressed his commitment to promoting socio-economic growth across the kingdom and the wider Epe Division.
The monarch’s comments came as Ilara marked six years of his reign with prayers and reflections on development.
The anniversary offered an opportunity to recognise ongoing projects while highlighting future priorities for the kingdom.
The range of projects mentioned by the Alara cuts across infrastructure, healthcare, education, sports, renewable energy and other areas.
If successfully implemented, the initiatives are expected to create new opportunities and improve facilities available to residents.

Oba Ogunsanwo also called for continued cooperation between traditional institutions, government agencies and community stakeholders.
He said such collaboration would be essential to achieving sustainable development across Ilara.
The monarch expressed optimism that the kingdom would continue to attract projects capable of improving the welfare of its people.
