Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has inspected key education and healthcare projects across the council area, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving essential public infrastructure.
Epe Insights reports that the inspection covered ongoing renovation and rehabilitation projects in public schools and primary healthcare facilities, with the chairman announcing additional interventions to strengthen service delivery under the SHIEELD Agenda.
The inspection began at Mopo Ijebu Primary School, where renovation works are currently underway. Following an assessment of the project, Hon. Olowa approved the construction of a perimeter fence to enhance security within the school premises.
The chairman also announced the provision of a borehole for the school to ensure a reliable water supply for pupils, teachers and members of the school community. The intervention is expected to improve sanitation and support a better learning environment.
At Debojo Primary Health Centre, Hon. Olowa inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of the facility and expressed satisfaction with the progress of work. He further directed that the perimeter fence of the health centre be raised to strengthen security and improve the overall environment for healthcare delivery.
According to the chairman, improving primary healthcare infrastructure remains a priority as the council continues to expand access to quality medical services for residents across Ibeju-Lekki.
The inspection tour also took the chairman to Iberekodo Primary School, where he announced plans for a comprehensive rehabilitation of the institution. The project will focus on restoring and upgrading critical facilities to provide pupils and teachers with a safer and more conducive learning environment.
Hon. Olowa noted that quality education and accessible healthcare are fundamental to sustainable development, stressing that investments in public institutions directly improve the wellbeing and future of residents.

The projects form part of the broader SHIEELD Agenda, which prioritises people-centred development through strategic investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure and community services across the local government.
The administration believes that stronger schools and well-equipped healthcare facilities will complement ongoing investments in roads, drainage systems and other public infrastructure needed to support the rapid growth of Ibeju-Lekki.
Residents have welcomed the continued investment in public facilities, describing the projects as timely interventions that will improve service delivery and enhance the quality of life within the council area.
As Ibeju-Lekki continues to emerge as one of Lagos State’s fastest-growing economic corridors, the local government says it remains committed to ensuring that public infrastructure keeps pace with development.
The latest inspection underscores the Olowa administration’s resolve to deliver sustainable projects that strengthen communities, improve access to essential services and build a more resilient and future-ready Ibeju-Lekki.
