The Executive Chairman of Ikosi–Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Anomo, has honoured members of staff born in the month of June with cash gifts and other incentives as part of efforts to boost workplace morale.
Epe Insights reports that the monthly birthday celebration held at the Council Manager’s office is part of an ongoing staff welfare programme designed to appreciate employees and encourage productivity within the council.
The event also featured the recognition of twenty staff members who marked their birthdays in May, with the presentation ceremony held on Monday, 8th June, 2026.
Council officials, including Heads of Departments and Units, were present at the brief ceremony which highlighted the administration’s commitment to staff motivation and welfare.
Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Council Manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo, congratulated the celebrants and commended their dedication to public service.
He noted that the initiative reflects the Chairman’s belief that a motivated workforce is essential for effective governance and improved service delivery.
Mr. Awobajo urged staff to remain committed to their duties and continue contributing positively to the development of the local government area.

The Human Resource Officer, Mr. Omotayo Shamsideen, also praised the initiative, describing it as a reflection of genuine leadership concern for staff welfare.
