Lekki Local Council Development Area has taken a significant step toward establishing an Agro Food Hub with an official inspection at Otolu Modern Market.
Epe Insights reports that the inspection involved a delegation from the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, led by the Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Fatai Audu, representing the Honourable Commissioner, Abisola Olusanya.
The Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, was represented at the event by the Secretary to the Local Government, Bukola Lawal.
At the site, officials presented the proposed location for the Agro Food Hub to the visiting delegation.
The Permanent Secretary commended the initiative and expressed satisfaction with the level of community participation.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to delivering a functional and modern market facility.
Officials noted that similar projects across Lagos have recorded success in improving food systems and market access.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairman, Dr. Lawal reiterated the administration’s determination to complete the project.

Among them were the Iyaloja General of Lekki LCDA, the Iyalaje of Ise Land, and the Seriki of the Hausa community.
