The Chairman of Epe Local Government, Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has declared support for the fifth-term ambition of Abiodun Tobun ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Epe Insights reports that, speaking amid rising political activities in Epe Division, the council boss described the lawmaker as an experienced and ranking member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

She noted that his legislative exposure and understanding of governance position him to deliver effective representation.

Animashaun emphasized that while the political space remains open to all aspirants, continuity in leadership is vital for sustaining ongoing developmental efforts.

She warned that electing a newcomer without legislative experience could pose challenges in navigating the complexities of lawmaking.

“I am not against anyone aspiring to serve, but experience matters in governance,” she stated. “Hon. Tobun has evolved into a strong voice at the Assembly, and that is an advantage for Epe.”

She further urged residents and stakeholders across Epe Division to support the lawmaker’s return, stressing that his re-election would promote continuity, stability, and accelerated development within the constituency.

The endorsement comes at a time of increasing political alignments and realignments across the division. Stakeholders are actively positioning ahead of party primaries and the general elections.

Observers say the development reflects growing momentum within the political landscape, as key figures begin to declare preferences and mobilize support bases.

Analysts also note that endorsements from influential leaders like Animashaun could shape the direction of political campaigns and influence voter sentiment in the coming months.

Residents have continued to express mixed reactions, with some supporting continuity while others advocate for fresh representation. The debate highlights the dynamic nature of the political environment in Epe Division.

As campaigns gradually build up, attention remains on how aspirants will engage the electorate and present their visions for development and governance.

With the race taking shape, political observers expect more declarations and endorsements to emerge as stakeholders consolidate their positions ahead of the elections.

The unfolding developments signal an active and competitive political season, with Epe Division set to play a key role in the broader electoral process in Lagos State.
