Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, has pledged new office space and operational vehicles to support the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Epe.
Epe Insights reports that the assurance was given during a familiarisation visit by the Lagos State Comptroller of NIS, Olofinbiyi Christopher, to the Council Secretariat.
Hon. Animashaun stressed the need for seamless collaboration between local authorities and federal security agencies to address emerging security challenges.
She noted that effective border monitoring and migration control are critical to safeguarding Epe’s fast-growing population and economic prospects.

The Chairman praised the professionalism and strategic leadership of the NIS Lagos State Command in maintaining internal security.
According to her, the council is committed to providing suitable office accommodation to enhance operational efficiency.
She also promised operational vehicles and increased grassroots sensitisation to strengthen surveillance and compliance.
The renewed partnership aims to prevent illegal immigration and reinforce border control within the division.

Officials said the collaboration will help protect Epe’s expanding tourism sector and growing investor confidence.
Stakeholders described the move as a proactive step toward ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and businesses.
