Wale Raji, member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, is set to commission major commercial market hubs across Poka and Agbowa. The projects are designed to expand trading infrastructure and boost grassroots economic activity within the constituency.
Epe Insights reports that the Phase II expansion of Pobo Market in Poka has been successfully completed. The development includes an additional 24 semi lock-up shops, increasing the total number of lock-up and semi lock-up shops in the market to 72.
All shops in the upgraded Pobo Market are fully painted, properly numbered, and ready for allocation to traders. The project has reached completion, paving the way for official commissioning in the coming days.

Meanwhile, construction activities are advancing steadily at Mowowale Market in Agbowa. The second phase of the project will add 60 new lock-up shops to the facility.
Upon completion, the total number of lock-up and semi lock-up shops at Mowowale Market will rise to 120. Contractors are currently handling roofing, plastering, and electrical installations as work moves toward final delivery.
The market projects are strategically located to serve residents and traders across Eredo and Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). Community leaders say the facilities will reduce congestion and improve trading conditions for small and medium-scale enterprises.
The new hubs are expected to stimulate commerce in Poka and Agbowa by providing structured and secure trading spaces. Economic observers note that improved market infrastructure often translates into higher revenue generation and job opportunities.
The initiative forms part of broader constituency interventions aimed at strengthening local economies in Epe Federal Constituency. It reflects ongoing efforts to convert legislative representation into tangible development projects.
Stakeholders describe the projects as evidence of responsive representation and sustained community engagement. The developments align with efforts to empower traders, support local entrepreneurship, and enhance socio-economic stability.

The projects were confirmed in a statement issued by Kaka Babatunde, Senior Legislative Aide on Media and Youth Affairs to Rep. Wale Raji. He emphasised that the lawmaker remains committed to delivering people-centered infrastructure across the constituency.
With nearly 200 trading hubs delivered across both communities upon completion of all phases, the development marks a significant boost to grassroots commerce in the area.
