Education District VI officials, led by the Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Mrs Mojisola Christiana Yusuff, have visited the Osolo of Isolo, His Royal Majesty Oba Isa Abiodun Olakunle Faronbi Shekoni, to strengthen collaboration between schools and the host community.
Epe Insights reports that the courtesy visit focused on addressing rising cases of student indiscipline within the Okota school cluster and the need for stronger parental and community involvement.
Mrs Yusuff expressed concern over increasing behavioural challenges among students, noting that while the government continues to provide a safe and conducive learning environment, discipline cannot be achieved by schools alone.
She stressed that restoring order in schools requires a collective effort involving parents, community leaders, and education stakeholders working together.

According to her, community participation is critical to creating a secure and productive atmosphere that supports learning and character development among students.
Responding, Oba Faronbi Shekoni reaffirmed the Palace’s commitment to education and youth development within Isolo and its environs.
The monarch pledged to mobilise parents, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders to support efforts aimed at improving discipline and security in schools.

He also raised concerns over encroachment on school lands in the Okota area, describing it as a threat to the safety and long-term development of educational facilities.
Oba Shekoni emphasised the importance of sustained communication between the Palace and Education District VI to ensure timely intervention on emerging issues.
The engagement marked a renewed partnership between the education authorities and the Isolo community, aimed at fostering a disciplined, secure, and supportive learning environment for students across District VI.
