The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has intensified the third batch verification process for beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer initiative, reinforcing its commitment to social welfare and poverty reduction.
Epe Insights reports that the programme is being implemented under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at supporting vulnerable Nigerians.

The Conditional Cash Transfer initiative is designed to provide direct financial assistance to low-income households, enabling beneficiaries to improve economic stability and strengthen their livelihoods.
According to officials, the programme targets 4,000 carefully verified beneficiaries selected from more than 11,000 applicants who registered through transparent community-based and online processes.
Each beneficiary is scheduled to receive a total sum of N100,000 spread over 20 months, ensuring sustained financial support rather than one-off assistance.

The local government explained that the staggered disbursement model is structured to promote responsible financial planning and long-term household stability.
Funds are disbursed through a cashless system, with beneficiaries issued ATM cards to enhance transparency, accountability, and ease of access.
Officials overseeing the verification exercise stated that the process is critical to ensuring that only eligible and genuinely vulnerable residents benefit from the intervention.

They noted that the third batch verification reflects the administration’s resolve to uphold fairness and credibility in the distribution of social intervention funds.
Hon. Olowa’s administration reaffirmed its focus on inclusive governance, stressing that social protection remains a core pillar of development in Ibeju-Lekki.
The programme complements other empowerment initiatives aimed at building economic resilience and reducing hardship at the grassroots level.

Residents participating in the verification process expressed optimism that the intervention would ease financial pressure and improve household welfare.
The local government further stated that continuous monitoring would accompany the disbursement process to ensure compliance with programme guidelines.
Captured moments from the third batch registration exercise show strong community participation and orderly engagement by applicants.
The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government reiterated its commitment to supporting vulnerable residents and fostering sustainable development through targeted social investment programmes.
