The Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Tpl) AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa, has joined forces with the Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) to improve safety at St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Igbooye.
EpeInsights reports that on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the monarch officially commissioned the school’s newly built perimeter fence, a project facilitated by the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye.
Representing the council boss at the event, Vice Chairman Hon. Abdulateef Adesanya said the initiative underscored the administration’s dedication to creating a secure and enabling learning environment.
“This project is more than just a fence; it is a shield of protection for our children. Education remains our top priority, and we will continue to invest in facilities that guarantee safety and quality learning,” he said.
The event was attended by community leaders, political stakeholders, school authorities, youth representatives, and residents of Igbooye, who all welcomed the development.
Commending the council’s efforts, Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa described the project as a product of collaboration between traditional institutions, political leaders, and the community.
“This effort is a symbol of the strong partnership between traditional institutions, government, and the community. It shows that when we work together, the future of our children is secured,” the monarch said.
The perimeter fence is expected to protect pupils and staff, while also promoting a safer and more conducive environment for learning.
