President Bola Tinubu on Monday welcomed the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, who paid him a Sallah homage at his residence in Lagos in celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
EpeInsights reports that the monarch, accompanied by a delegation, visited the President to extend warm festive greetings and reaffirm traditional support for the Tinubu administration.
The visit was one of many goodwill engagements by notable Nigerians marking the Islamic holiday.
President Tinubu described the royal visit as a powerful symbol of national unity and cultural heritage.
“This gesture reinforces the spirit of togetherness and the deep respect we have for our traditional institutions,” he said.
Oba Adejugbe, one of Ekiti State’s most revered royal fathers, emphasized his commitment to supporting the government’s efforts toward national development and peace.
The President’s Lagos residence has become a hub of traditional and political activity during the Eid celebrations, as dignitaries from across the country continue to visit.
Among the high-profile guests were former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori, and industrialist Chief Razaq Okoya, founder of Eleganza Group of Companies.
They joined other guests to celebrate the season and show solidarity with the president.
Also in attendance were Prince Samuel Adedoyin, Chairman of the Doyin Group of Companies, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu.
Chief Okoya was accompanied by his family, including Mrs. Shade Okoya and Raheem Okoya, highlighting the close-knit blend of business, political and family ties woven into the day’s events.
The Sallah celebration, rooted in sacrifice, unity and gratitude, continues to foster moments of cultural affirmation and national reflection, as the president engages with both traditional leaders and citizens during the festive season.
