Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has visited the Okegun-Baale community as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and connect directly with residents and community stakeholders.
Epe Insights reports that, during the visit, representatives of the Community Development Association (CDA) commended the administration for visible progress recorded across the area, while presenting key priority needs affecting the community.
The requests included the provision of a dedicated electricity transformer to improve power supply, upgraded drainage infrastructure to address flooding concerns, deployment of solar energy solutions, and other critical infrastructure interventions aimed at improving living standards.
In response, Hon. Olowa briefed residents on major electrification milestones already underway, highlighting the ongoing power extension project from Ibeju Bridge to Madagbayun.
He explained that the project, once completed, will significantly reduce persistent power outages and stimulate economic activities within surrounding communities.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive and equitable rural development, Hon. Olowa assured residents that their concerns would be addressed promptly.
He specifically pledged that the requested transformer would be delivered and installed within the next three months, describing the intervention as part of a broader strategy to ensure reliable and sustainable electricity access across communities.
The visit reinforced the administration’s people-centred approach, which prioritises dialogue, responsiveness and practical solutions to improve the quality of life at the grassroots level.
