The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has charged Lagos State indigenes selected into the Nigerian Army 90 Regular Recruits Intake to uphold discipline, excellence, and integrity as they commence their journey of national service.
Epe Insights reports that Hon. Olowa gave the charge while addressing the successful recruits, describing them as the pride of Lagos State and worthy ambassadors entering a noble and demanding profession in service to the nation.
The council boss urged the recruits to remain focused, resilient, and committed to the core values of the Nigerian Army, stressing that their conduct would reflect not only on themselves but also on Lagos State.
According to him, Lagosians have a long-standing reputation for excellence and leadership wherever they serve, noting that the new recruits must sustain this legacy through discipline, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
“Lagos is the Centre of Excellence, and Lagosians have always distinguished themselves across the country. I encourage you to remain disciplined, focused, and committed, and to uphold the values of excellence and integrity associated with our state,” Olowa stated.

He further advised the recruits to see their enlistment as a call to selfless service, sacrifice, and national unity, adding that their role in safeguarding the nation is both honourable and critical.
Hon. Olowa also commended the Lagos State Government for its strategic mobilisation, youth engagement, and sustained support that ensured increased participation of Lagos indigenes in the Nigerian Army recruitment exercise.
He noted that the initiative aligns with the state’s commitment to youth empowerment, security, and nation-building, while wishing the recruits success in their military training and careers.
