Community engagements have been conducted across wards in the Lekki Local Council Development Area to sensitise residents on the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination exercise.

Epe Insights reports that the engagements were carried out on the directive of the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), as part of efforts to strengthen public awareness and participation.

The sessions brought together community leaders, residents, and health officials to discuss the importance of the MR vaccine in protecting children from preventable diseases.

Health workers were also on the ground to administer the Measles-Rubella vaccine to eligible beneficiaries during the engagements.

They assured health authorities of cooperation to ensure that children across their communities are adequately vaccinated.

The initiative was designed to boost awareness, encourage acceptance, and ensure the smooth implementation of the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign in Lekki LCDA.
