The Lagos State Government, in partnership with the leadership of the Lekki Local Council Development Area, has intensified its coordinated clearance of shanties and illegal structures.
Epe Insights reports that residents were issued statutory notices ahead of the enforcement exercise, followed by several community engagement sessions to ensure full awareness and cooperation before operations commenced.
Officials explained that these preparatory steps were taken to promote transparency and minimise disruptions as the clearance progresses across designated areas within Lekki LCDA.
An enforcement representative confirmed that the team has recorded steady progress in all affected zones, noting that the operation is being executed strictly in line with established procedures and regulatory standards.
