This May 27, in celebration of Children’s Day, the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) is encouraging families to enjoy the outdoors by offering free entry to children aged 0 to 15 at several public parks across Lagos.
EpeInsights reports that the initiative is part of LASPARK’s broader mission to promote outdoor recreation, environmental awareness and family bonding.
By waiving entrance fees for kids, the agency hopes to inspire families to unplug from screens, connect with nature, and create meaningful memories in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Parents and guardians are invited to take advantage of this opportunity by visiting any of the participating parks, where children can enjoy open spaces, greenery and a variety of leisure activities.
The parks offering free access include Muri-Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park in Ikeja, Dr. Finnih Park in Opebi, Rafiu Jafojo Park in Shasha (Akowonjo), Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Tunji Braithwaite Park in Dolphin Estate, Jibowu Park in Jibowu, Badagry Park in Badagry, Peace Park in Ojota, Ikorodu Park in Ebute-Ikorodu, and Encourage Park in Osborne.
By opening these green spaces to children at no cost, LASPARK aims to reinforce its commitment to child-friendly environments and wellness through outdoor experiences.
This year’s Children’s Day offers a simple yet impactful way for families to spend quality time together and reconnect with nature.
