Lagos Head of Service, Agoro, Leads Condolence Visit to Family of Late Alhaja Tawakalitu Balogun

In a solemn gesture of respect and solidarity, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, on Thursday led a delegation of the Body of Permanent Secretaries on a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaja Tawakalitu Omolara Balogun at their residence in Dolphin Extension, Ikoyi, Lagos.

EpeInsights gathered that Alhaja Tawakalitu, the beloved wife of the 15th Head of Service of Lagos State, Hon. Yakub Balogun, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love, humility and devotion to faith and family.

Her passing has been deeply felt not only by her immediate family but also by many within and beyond the Lagos State Public Service.

During the visit, Mr. Agoro delivered a heartfelt message on behalf of the Lagos State Government, the Body of Permanent Secretaries, and the entire workforce of the State.

He described the late Alhaja Tawakalitu as a woman of grace and generosity, an embodiment of compassion who touched lives with her kindness and unwavering faith.

“She was not just a wife, mother, and grandmother, but a beacon of warmth, love, and spiritual devotion. Her life was a shining example of service to humanity and to her Creator.”

Reflecting on her life, Mr. Agoro praised her commitment to Islamic values, describing her as a devout Muslim whose actions consistently demonstrated her deep faith.

He offered prayers for the repose of her soul and asked that Almighty Allah grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.

He also prayed for comfort and strength for the Balogun family during this difficult time.

In response, Hon. Yakub Balogun expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Agoro and the Permanent Secretaries for their thoughtful visit and kind words.

He recalled his time in the Lagos State Public Service, sharing fond memories and lessons learned, and encouraged the serving officers to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence.

He also prayed for the continued success and well-being of the Lagos State Government workforce, noting that public service remains one of the noblest callings when done with integrity and a heart for the people.
