The Lagos State Government has officially announced the postponement of the 2025 Public Service Examinations, initially slated for Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
EpeInsights reports that the Lagos State Examinations Board announced that the new date for the examinations is now set for Friday, May 23, 2025.
The announcement was made by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, in a public statement issued on Monday.
He explained that the decision to reschedule the examinations was taken in the best interest of all candidates and stakeholders involved in the process.
According to him, the postponement aims to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure that all candidates have a fair and equitable experience.
Mr. Orunsolu acknowledged the inconvenience the change may cause but reassured candidates that the Lagos State Examinations Board remains fully committed to conducting a transparent, credible, and efficient examination process.
He emphasized that the decision was not taken lightly, noting that it became necessary to address certain administrative and logistical factors that could affect the smooth conduct of the exams.
He urged candidates to remain prepared and attentive, noting that updates regarding the examination will be made available on the Board’s official website, https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng.
He further encouraged all registered candidates to regularly visit the portal for timely updates and announcements related to the new examination schedule.
In his statement, Mr. Orunsolu also reminded candidates to retain all their registration details, as these would be essential for accessing their examination information and printing the required exam slips once the new date is confirmed.
He advised candidates to ensure that their exam slips are printed and kept safely ahead of the rescheduled date to avoid any last-minute issues.
The Director concluded by thanking all stakeholders including candidates, facilitators, and civil service departments for their understanding and cooperation.
