Ikosi-Ejinrin Boosts Pupils With Learning Aids

Pupils and students across Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have received instructional materials and Children’s Day packages as part of the council’s ongoing efforts to promote quality education and improve child welfare.

Epe Insights reports that the distribution exercise was held at the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Secretariat in Agbowa, where beneficiaries received essential learning materials to support the Third Term of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The initiative provided pupils and students with exercise books, pens, mathematical sets, snacks, and other instructional supplies designed to enhance classroom learning and academic performance.

The programme also marked the presentation of 2026 Children’s Day packages, reflecting the council’s commitment to supporting children both academically and socially.

Representing the Executive Chairman, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Dehinsilu, urged the beneficiaries to remain committed to their education and make good use of the materials provided.

He encouraged the students to study diligently and assured them that the council chairman remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that improve learning opportunities across the LCDA.

Hon. Dehinsilu also commended members of the management team for their continued dedication to implementing programmes that promote quality education and youth development.

Speaking at the event, the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Sulaimon Yusuf, appreciated parents, teachers, and development partners for their contributions toward improving the confidence and academic growth of the students.

He encouraged the pupils and students to remain focused on their studies and strive for excellence in their examinations. According to him, consistent hard work and determination would enable them to complete the academic session successfully.

The Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Oguniyi Jimoh K., also addressed the beneficiaries, urging them to remain disciplined and avoid negative influences that could distract them from their educational goals.

He advised the students to associate with positive-minded peers and maintain good character, stressing that discipline and commitment remain essential ingredients for academic success.

Hon. Oguniyi further encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of the educational support provided by the council by dedicating themselves to learning and personal development.

Teachers, parents, and beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the leadership of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for prioritising education and investing in the welfare of schoolchildren across the council area.

Many described the initiative as timely, noting that the instructional materials would ease the financial burden on parents while providing students with the resources needed for effective learning.
