In a stunning show of political strength and unity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a massive rally in Iberekodo, Ibeju-Lekki, defying heavy rainfall to reaffirm grassroots support for its Chairmanship candidates, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (Ibeju-Lekki Local Government) and Hon. Razaq Bamidele Kasali (Lekki LCDA), alongside councillorship candidates across 11 wards.

Held at the 7 Community Primary School field, the Mega Rally transformed into a carnival-like celebration, with party loyalists, youth groups, community leaders, and women associations chanting slogans, waving banners, and boldly displaying their support for the APC flagbearers.

The rally, beyond its impressive turnout, became a powerful endorsement platform as leaders from across the political spectrum rallied behind the duo, known respectively as “Jaja” and “RBK.” The event also served as a resounding call to action ahead of the July 12 local government elections.

Notable dignitaries in attendance included members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Akani Seriki (Bamu Authority); former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji; Yeye Olayinka Olusanya; House of Representatives member, Hon. Bayo Balogun; Chief Whip of the Lagos Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola; and several Special Advisers to the Governor — Hon. Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo (Taxation and Revenue), Hon. Abiola Olowu (Energy and Mineral Resources), and other APC stalwarts including Hon. Muslim Folami, Hon. Idowu Eletu, and Hon. Balogun Olugbenga Kazeem.

The atmosphere reached a crescendo with the arrival of apex leaders, including His Excellency Alhaji Bode Kashif Oyedele, Dr. Odutola Kasali, and Alhaji Tunde Isiaq, whose presence added weight and glamour to the already charged gathering.

Speakers throughout the day emphasized a single message: the need for continuity, experienced leadership, and massive voter turnout to sustain the progress already achieved under the APC-led councils.

“The chants of ‘Jaja’ and ‘RBK’ that filled the air today are not just campaign slogans — they are declarations of trust and belief in tested leadership,” said one party chieftain.

The rally underscored the APC’s readiness for the July 12 polls and its commitment to grassroots development. According to attendees, it was more than a political rally — it was a people-powered movement to protect progress and build on a foundation of fulfilled promises.
