The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Tuesday attended the 8th-day Fidau prayer held in honour of the late Olumopo of Mopo-Ijebu, His Royal Majesty Oba Isiaka Lamoriu Kayode, father of the Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji.
Epe Insights reports that the event, which attracted traditional rulers, political leaders and community members, took place at the family residence in Mopo-Ijebu, where Islamic clerics offered prayers for the repose of the monarch’s soul.

Hon. Olowa described the late royal father as a devoted Muslim, exemplary leader and disciplined navigator whose legacy would continue to guide future generations. He commended the Vice Chairman for his strength amid personal loss and prayed for divine comfort for the entire family.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Legislative Council, management staff of the local government, political appointees, party leaders and prominent indigenes of Mopo-Ijebu.
