Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, on his remarkable 15th anniversary of ascension to the throne.
EpeInsights reports that Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Oba Elegushi’s leadership, emphasizing how the monarch’s reign has fostered peace, growth, and development within the Ikate-Elegushi domain.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the Governor noted that under Oba Elegushi’s visionary leadership, the kingdom has blossomed into a thriving hub for real estate, entertainment, hospitality, and leisure, making it a top destination for investment and tourism.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I offer my congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, on this monumental milestone,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“Oba Elegushi is more than just a ruler; he is a leader who has truly devoted himself to the betterment of his community. His vision and selflessness have not only transformed Ikate-Elegushi but also left a lasting impact on the wider Lagos State.”
The Governor further praised the Oba for his dedication to community service, highlighting the monarch’s efforts in developing Ikate-Elegushi into one of the state’s most dynamic areas. “The people of the kingdom are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and caring monarch,” he added.
Since becoming the 21st Elegushi of the kingdom 15 years ago, Oba Elegushi has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, not only as a traditional ruler but also as a key member of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
His role in mobilizing support for government policies and fostering unity within the community has been invaluable.
“As Oba Elegushi celebrates this special occasion, I pray for continued health, wisdom, and prosperity for him. May his reign bring even more success and peace to Ikate-Elegushi, and may he continue to inspire future generations,” the Governor concluded.
