Epe Premier Club has unveiled plans for its inaugural immortalisation ceremony aimed at celebrating the founding fathers and notable contributors to the growth of Epe Division.
Epe Insights reports that the Member representing Epe Constituency One in the Lagos State House of Assembly led a high-powered delegation of the club to brief the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, on preparations for the historic event.
The delegation explained that the initiative is designed to recognise individuals who played significant roles in shaping Epe Division’s socio-political, cultural, and economic landscape.
They noted that the ceremony will also help preserve and institutionalise the legacies of selfless leaders whose contributions to community development remain impactful.
Rt. Hon. Obasa warmly received the delegation and commended the vision behind the immortalisation ceremony.
The Speaker offered guidance, formally endorsed the initiative, and pledged his full support, including his commitment to attend the event.
The visit also highlighted the selection of Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, Apase of Epe Land, as the programme’s first honouree.
He was described as a symbol of political maturity, statesmanship, and dedicated service to Epe Division and Lagos State.
Speaking after the meeting, the lawmaker expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s encouragement and endorsement.
He noted that the Speaker’s support would add prestige and significance to the ceremony.
