Epe Local Government has announced a comprehensive free Medical, Mental, Dental, and Eye Outreach aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for residents of Epe and neighbouring communities.
Epe Insights reports that the outreach is being organised in partnership with Dr Ferguson Team, Green Fountain Dental Clinic, Restore Foundation for Child Sight, and Brainy Educate Services, as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare and early medical intervention at the grassroots.
The initiative will provide free general medical consultations, mental health support, dental care, and eye screening services to beneficiaries across different age groups, with special attention to vulnerable residents.
As part of the programme, children’s eye screening has been scheduled to take place on January 3 and 4, 2026, to help detect and address visual challenges early and prevent avoidable eye conditions among school-age children.
The main outreach exercise will take place at the Epe Local Government Secretariat from January 7 to January 8, 2026, where residents will have access to a wide range of professional healthcare services at no cost.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, said the programme reflects her administration’s commitment to ensuring accessible and inclusive healthcare delivery.

She noted that the outreach was designed to remove financial barriers that often prevent residents from seeking timely medical attention, especially for routine check-ups and early diagnosis.
The council boss encouraged residents to fully utilise the opportunity, stressing that preventive healthcare remains a critical tool in reducing disease burden and improving overall community wellbeing.
She added that the local government will continue to collaborate with credible health partners to deliver impactful programmes that prioritise the health and welfare of the people.
Residents of Epe and surrounding areas have been advised to attend in large numbers and take advantage of the free services during the outreach period.
