Epe Grammar School witnessed a blend of nostalgia and philanthropy as members of the 1971/1975 alumni set marked their Golden Jubilee with infrastructure development and educational support.
Epe Insights reports that the celebration featured the commissioning of a newly completed school hall extension and the donation of ICT, power, and learning support equipment to enhance teaching and learning.

Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who commissioned the project on behalf of the set, described the occasion as emotional and historic, celebrating 50 years of shared values and lifelong bonds.
Obanikoro urged current students to remain disciplined and embrace technology, noting that modern digital tools now offer access to vast information beyond traditional libraries.

The hall extension was sponsored by Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, emphasised the duty of old students to uplift their alma mater and sustain its legacy.
President of the 71/75 Set, Alhaji Lekan Akodu, announced additional donations, including a generator for the ICT lab, a public address system, a mower, and a ₦100,000 personal scholarship for outstanding students.
EGOSA National President, Alhaja Olushola Alade-Raji, commended the alumni’s intervention and cautioned students against vandalising school property.
The anniversary lecture, delivered by Dr Elemide, focused on career development in a changing world, encouraging students to explore technology-driven and creative opportunities.
