Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, has officially welcomed its 2025/2026 intake with a two-day orientation programme aimed at equipping new students for academic, social and moral excellence.

EpeInsights learnt that the programme, themed “Growth and Development: My Core Values as a Student,” began on Tuesday, November 4, at the University’s Convocation Hall.

Organised by the Student Affairs Office, it is designed to help students navigate university life while embracing the institution’s core values of discipline, integrity and purposeful learning.

Registrar Mrs. Margaret Aziba urged students to prioritize character alongside academics, stating, “Education goes beyond books your character and values will define your success and identity.”

In his welcome address, Vice-Chancellor Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Akinwale, OP, congratulated the students and emphasized the University’s mission to raise graduates who are morally upright and intellectually grounded.

He encouraged them to embody truth, unity, and service while pursuing academic excellence.

The orientation featured a series of presentations covering essential aspects of university life, including financial discipline and future planning, academic goals and course registration, digital literacy and smart learning, care for facilities and the environment, library services, spiritual commitment, wellness and interpersonal conduct.
