The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos East Senatorial District has reviewed the progress of its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise and announced fresh targets to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the district.
Epe Insights reports that the high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Magodo, Lagos, brought together party leaders and stakeholders from across the senatorial district to deliberate on membership harmonisation, party reforms, and preparations for future elections.
In her welcome address, the Vice Chairman of APC Lagos East, Yeye Olayinka Olusanya, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what she described as bold and far-reaching reforms, noting that the policies are laying the foundation for sustainable national growth.
She urged party members to remain united and focused, while proposing the introduction of a monthly dues system for elected office holders to strengthen party administration in line with the APC constitution.

The APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, expressed concern over the slow pace of the e-registration exercise, revealing that only about 220,000 members had been registered statewide despite Lagos’s large population.
He disclosed that Ikorodu is currently leading the registration drive, while Epe and Ibeju-Lekki are trailing in fifth and sixth positions, respectively, stressing the need for urgent improvement.
Ojelabi announced mandatory registration targets for key local governments ahead of the January 31 deadline and unveiled incentives for councils that meet or exceed their targets.
Stakeholders at the meeting reaffirmed their loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership, pledging collective commitment to expanding the party’s membership base and strengthening its grassroots structure.
The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve to intensify mobilisation efforts and ensure a credible, comprehensive party database ahead of future electoral contests in Lagos State.
