APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, expressed concern over the low turnout in the ongoing electronic registration (e-registration) exercise. Despite Lagos State’s population exceeding eight million, only about 220,000 members have registered, with Ikorodu leading while Epe and Ibeju-Lekki rank fifth and sixth, respectively.

Hon. Ojelabi stressed that e-registration is crucial for building a credible party database and set mandatory registration targets for local governments to meet by January 31: Epe – 90,000; Ibeju-Lekki – 100,000; Ikorodu – 200,000; Kosofe – 150,000; Somolu – 155,000 members. Incentives will be given to LGAs that meet or exceed targets.

Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, assured the party of full commitment to achieving the set targets. He emphasised deploying all necessary measures to mobilise members and strengthen the party structure.

In attendance were Hon. Murtain Abiodun Tobun, member representing Epe Constituency I, and Hon. Wale Raji, member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency, both of whom reaffirmed their support for APC and urged massive grassroots mobilisation for the e-registration exercise.

The meeting drew wide participation from party stalwarts, including Otunba Alebiosu (Baba Bush), Alhaji Akanni Seriki (Bamu), former Minister Chief Adeseye Ogunlewe, Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun (Baba Aladura), Chief Bode Oyedele (Kinniun Ibeju), Dr Tola Kasali, and several others, reinforcing APC’s resolve in Lagos East.
