The Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu, Oba Asunmo Ganiu Aderibigbe, has gifted three of his chiefs the sum of N500,000 each in recognition of their loyalty and dedication to the throne.

Epe Insights reports that the royal gesture took place during the hosting of Lagos State Ijebu Obas at the Alayandelu’s palace in Odo-Ayandelu, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.

Oba Aderibigbe explained that the financial gifts were presented to honour chiefs who have remained steadfast and supportive since his ascension to the throne.

He described loyalty as a vital pillar of traditional leadership and urged fellow monarchs to consistently recognise individuals who genuinely support their reigns.

According to the monarch, appreciating dedication strengthens trust, unity, and stability within the traditional institution.

Among the beneficiaries were the Olisa of Odo-Ayandelu and Chief Olowougaba Lateef, alongside another senior chief of the kingdom, all of whom expressed gratitude for the recognition.

Ijebu Obas meeting

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, the Olisa of Odo-Ayandelu thanked the Alayandelu, describing the gesture as both encouraging and inspiring.

He noted that the recognition would further motivate them to serve the throne with honesty, commitment, and renewed dedication.

Chief Olowougaba Lateef also praised the monarch, describing the gesture as a reflection of inclusive and appreciative leadership.

He affirmed that the chiefs remain fully committed to supporting the Alayandelu’s vision for peace, unity, and development.

The beneficiaries jointly pledged continued loyalty to the throne and promised to contribute actively to the progress of Odo-Ayandelu and its surrounding communities.
