The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has officially launched the reconstruction of the long-neglected Odo-Mola/Iraye Road, signaling a renewed focus on grassroots infrastructure and community development.
EpeInsights reports that the project spanning 550 metres from Odo-Mola Secondary School to Alasco Junction, aims to improve accessibility, ease transportation challenges, and stimulate economic activities across the Odo-Mola axis and neighboring communities.
The reconstruction will feature reinforced concrete drainage and solar-powered street lights to ensure durability, efficient water flow and enhanced nighttime visibility for road users.
With an average width of 11.5 metres and a total surface area of 6,325 square metres, the road is set to significantly boost connectivity in the area.
Describing the initiative as more than just a construction project, Hon. Akinloye said, “This road reconstruction is not just about asphalt and drainage; it is about improving lives, strengthening community ties, and fostering economic growth. Our mission remains to rebuild, reconnect, and rekindle hope in every part of Eredo.”
The project underscores the administration’s commitment to transforming local infrastructure, promoting accessibility and ensuring that development reaches every resident of Eredo LCDA, reinforcing Akinloye’s reputation for people-centered leadership.
