Wale Raji Lights Up Epe: Solar-Powered Streetlights Brighten Ajaganabe, Araromi, Etita, Bado-Oke and Imokun Communities

Residents across several communities in Epe Federal Constituency have continued to applaud the transformative leadership of Hon. Wale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives, following the latest phase of solar-powered streetlight installations that have brought illumination and renewed vibrancy to their neighborhoods.

EpeInsights reports that the solar streetlight project which made stops at Ajaganabe, Araromi Night Market, Etita (Idi-Aba), Bado-Oke, Iya-Ologi Street, and Imokun is part of an ongoing series of infrastructural interventions championed by Hon. Raji.

The initiative is designed to improve security, enhance community life, and foster socio-economic growth across inner streets and link roads within the constituency.

Residents could not hide their joy as the installation teams concluded work on their streets, replacing years of darkness with clean, renewable energy-powered lights.

The transformation has been immediate dark corners once considered unsafe have become lively spaces for evening recreation, social gatherings, and small-scale businesses.

In areas such as Araromi Night Market and Iya-Ologi Street in Imokun, the effect has been especially profound.

Previously avoided routes are now bustling with activity late into the night, with children playing safely and traders extending their business hours under the new lights. Many residents described the development as “a long-awaited relief” that has restored their sense of security and pride in their community.

During the media documentation of the newly illuminated areas, residents expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Raji for his continuous focus on grassroots development.

They also appealed for minor technical corrections in a few previously installed units and requested that more dark spots be captured in the next phase of the project.

Responding to these concerns, Hon. Wale Raji, through his Senior Legislative Aide on Media and Youth Affairs, Kaka Babatunde, thanked constituents for their feedback and unwavering support.

He reiterated his commitment to equitable development across all communities in Epe Federal Constituency.

“We are committed to ensuring that no community is left behind. The installation of solar-powered streetlights will continue in phases until every neighborhood enjoys the benefits of safer and well-lit streets,” Hon. Raji assured.

The solar streetlight initiative is one of several people-centered projects driven by Rep. Wale Raji’s belief in practical, sustainable governance.

By focusing on renewable energy solutions, the project not only enhances security and convenience but also aligns with global efforts to promote environmental sustainability.

As more communities await inclusion in subsequent phases, the ongoing streetlight installations stand as a shining symbol of how responsive leadership can illuminate lives both literally and figuratively across Epe Federal Constituency.
