In continued efforts to promote community health and wellness, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), on Wednesday, led a health awareness exercise tagged “Walk for Sight” across various parts of the LCDA.

EpeInsights gathered that the walk, which kicked off at about 9:00 a.m., saw the participation of health officials, community members, and council staff, all joining in the advocacy for better eye health and preventive care.

Following the awareness walk, residents benefitted from free eye screening sessions, where free drugs and eyeglasses were distributed at designated centres within the LCDA.

According to the Media Office of the Executive Chairman, the initiative aligns with Engr. Kasali’s broader commitment to upscaling healthcare delivery and ensuring access to quality medical services for all residents of Lekki LCDA.
