It was a day of gratitude and renewed commitment to education on Thursday at the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat, Agbowa, as the Executive Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, warmly received the management of the Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO), Oko-Oba, Agege, alongside beneficiaries of his full scholarship scheme.

EpeInsights reports that the delegation, led by the Acting Provost of LASCOCO, Dr. Walid Adebosin, visited the Council boss to appreciate his intervention in sponsoring eight indigent indigenes of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for academic programmes at the institution.

The beneficiaries, who recently concluded their first academic year, described the Chairman’s gesture as transformative, noting that it has opened new doors of opportunity for them and their families.

In his remarks, Dr. Adebosin congratulated Anomo on his reelection for a second term and lauded his vision for human capital development.

He stressed that the Council Chairman’s initiative has not only given the students access to quality education but has also positioned them to contribute meaningfully to society.

“What you have done here is more than sponsorship; it is an investment in the future of these youths and, by extension, the prosperity of Lagos State,” he said.

Otunba Anomo, visibly delighted with the scholars’ progress, commended their commitment and encouraged them to remain focused as they advance to the final year of their studies.

Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to education, he emphasized that “education remains the bedrock of sustainable growth and the surest path to a better future.”

In a bold step to consolidate the gains of the scheme, Anomo announced the approval of a new round of sponsorship for another set of Ikosi-Ejinrin indigenes into LASCOCO.

He assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritize initiatives that empower youths, strengthen community development and position Ikosi-Ejinrin as a model for educational advancement across Lagos State.

The appreciation visit was rounded off with goodwill messages and prayers for the Chairman. Both the LASCOCO management and the scholarship beneficiaries pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them while promising to be worthy ambassadors of Ikosi-Ejinrin.

With this renewed commitment, Otunba Anomo is not only consolidating the gains of his first tenure but also expanding possibilities for the future.Anomo Expands Educational Sponsorship as LASCOCO Management, Scholars Pay Appreciation Visit to Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA
