The Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has actively participated in the 3rd Edition of the Buildings’ Stakeholders Engagement convened by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
EpeInsights reports that the event, which brought together community leaders, developers, regulatory agencies and residents, focused on improving building standards and ensuring strict compliance with construction regulations across the state.
Under the directive of Executive Chairman Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), Lekki LCDA mobilized stakeholders from various communities to contribute to discussions aimed at enhancing safety, sustainability and adherence to building laws.
Chairman Kasali reiterated the council’s commitment to supporting state-led initiatives and aligning with the Governor’s vision for orderly urban development.
“By engaging our communities in conversations like this, we are not only safeguarding lives and property but also ensuring that Lekki remains a model for responsible urban growth,” he stated.
The engagement ended with a renewed pledge from stakeholders to collaborate with the state government in enforcing building regulations and adopting best practices in construction.
