In a heartwarming show of community appreciation, the Jamahiyatul Bushrah Islamic Society of Nigeria (Odomola Branch) has honoured the leadership of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for their outstanding contributions to governance, community development and ethical leadership.
EpeInsights reports that the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, was awarded the prestigious title of “Ambassador of Humanity” in recognition of his compassionate, people-focused approach to governance and consistent advocacy for social welfare within the local government area.
Similarly, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, was conferred with the title of “Ambassador of Humility” for his integrity, modest leadership style, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
Though Hon. Akinloye was unable to attend the ceremony in person, his deputy, Hon. Adesanya, accepted both awards on behalf of the leadership.
In his acceptance remarks, he expressed gratitude on behalf of the council and reaffirmed their shared dedication to public service.
“We are deeply honoured by this recognition. It serves as both an encouragement and a reminder of the values we must uphold—integrity, humility and compassion,” Hon. Adesanya said.
He also used the occasion to call on residents to foster a culture of unity, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, noting that these are vital ingredients for sustained community growth and harmony.
The event drew members of the Islamic society, community leaders, and residents, who commended the council leadership for their service-oriented governance.
This double recognition underscores the increasing importance of ethical and inclusive leadership in public service, especially at the grassroots level, where policies have a direct impact on daily lives.
