The Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has launched the second edition of its free Summer Coaching Programme for Senior Secondary School students in SS2 and SS3, as part of its ongoing efforts to support academic excellence within the community.
EpeInsights learnt that this initiative, championed and fully sponsored by the Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, is scheduled to run from Monday, August 4 to Friday, September 5, 2025.
It is designed to offer students intensive revision in preparation for their final secondary school examinations, including WAEC and NECO.
Classes will take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. across four selected schools within the LCDA.
These centres include L.G. Primary School in Agbowa-Ikosi, RCM Primary School in Itoikin, RCM Primary School in Ketu, and Temu Community Junior High School.
Students will receive instruction in core subjects during focused sessions scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. each day.
Subjects covered throughout the week include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Physics, Commerce, Government, Chemistry, Accounting and Literature-in-English.
According to Chairman Anomo, the programme is not only an opportunity for academic enrichment but also part of a broader vision to empower young people and invest in the future of the LCDA.
He encouraged all eligible students to take advantage of the free programme and participate fully.
The Summer Coaching 2.0 initiative highlights the council’s continued commitment to educational development and its belief in the power of knowledge to transform lives and communities.
