In a heartfelt address delivered on Monday, July 28, 2025, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, officially resumed office as the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government for her second term.

Chairman Animashaun expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God and the people of Epe for their overwhelming support and trust, which she described as a sacred call to lead with integrity and a greater vision for the grassroots.
Acknowledging the collective efforts of traditional rulers, community stakeholders, youth groups, women, market leaders, professionals, civil servant and political figures, she thanked all who voted for continuity and capacity, emphasizing that this victory is a shared success.
The Chairman also extended her appreciation to the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly commending President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his inspirational leadership, as well as Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for their guidance under the THEMES+ Agenda, which serves as a model for local governance.
Highlighting her administration’s focus for the next four years, Animashaun outlined key priority areas including infrastructure, primary healthcare, education, environmental development, youth and women empowerment, digital innovation, security and community transformation.
She reiterated a firm commitment to inclusive governance and urged all residents to foster unity and peace regardless of political or cultural differences.
