In a bold move to improve infrastructure and enhance service delivery, the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has officially flagged off the full-scale rehabilitation of the internal road network within the council premises.

EpeInsights reports that the project, which commenced with the scarification of damaged road surfaces, marks a significant step toward creating a more functional, accessible, and visually appealing environment for staff and the public who frequent the council daily.

“This is more than a road project—it is a statement of intent: to rebuild, to restore, and to reposition Eredo LCDA for excellence,” said Jubril Idris Epe-CityJnr, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, in a press statement on Tuesday.

The ongoing scarification process is a key preparatory phase that will lead to the complete overhaul and upgrading of the road infrastructure. The improved network is expected to ease both vehicular and pedestrian movement within the council grounds, while also projecting a governance environment rooted in functionality and high standards.

Chairman Akinloye’s commitment to infrastructure aligns with the broader THEMES+ Agenda of the Lagos State Government, which emphasizes transportation and traffic management, health, education, and the environment, among others.

“This project is a reflection of leadership in action delivering visible, people-focused results that meet the needs of our growing community,” the statement added.

The road rehabilitation is one of several infrastructure upgrades being pursued under the current administration’s drive to modernize Eredo LCDA and ensure a better quality of life for residents and stakeholders alike.Eredo LCDA Commences Road Rehabilitation Within Council Premises
