The lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, has reiterated his commitment to people-centered development through sustained investments in education, infrastructure, and welfare projects across his constituency.
EpeInsights reports that while speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, Raji said his interventions were designed to promote inclusive growth and long-term socio-economic benefits for residents of Epe.
According to him, education remains a central pillar of his representation.
He disclosed that five new schools have been established across the constituency, while over 20 classroom blocks have been constructed or rehabilitated in public schools to improve the learning environment.
“It is the Lagos State Government that recruits teachers and pays their salaries, while my office provides the physical infrastructure to ensure smooth school operations,” Raji explained.
The lawmaker also highlighted his welfare initiative for senior citizens, under which 150 elderly residents aged 70 and above receive a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 each to support their living conditions.
On infrastructure, Raji stated that more than 20 roads have been constructed or rehabilitated in the past three years, all fitted with solar-powered streetlights to enhance security and reduce nighttime crime.
Some of his notable projects include the reconstruction of Epe Grammar School Road, the building of a community stadium within the school premises, an ICT centre, and the provision of mattresses for boarding students.
In a bid to strengthen local security, Raji revealed that a new police quarters had been completed at Oke-Balogun, Epe, to improve the welfare of officers serving in the area.
He also announced that work is underway on a modern livestock market project, expected to be completed within two months, which will boost trade and create employment opportunities for residents.
“I remain fully committed to delivering projects that will foster sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for people in Epe Federal Constituency,” Raji affirmed.
