The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, on Thursday handed over a set of health and education projects to the authorities of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
EpeInsights reports that the projects, facilitated through the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, were formally presented to the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali.
Represented at the handover ceremony by Mr. Olukotun Enitan, Senator Abiru delivered a newly constructed, fully equipped and furnished Primary Health Centre in Akodo-Ise, and an upgraded health facility in the Folu community.
In the education sector, blocks of three classrooms were rehabilitated and furnished at Lepia Primary School and Olomowewe Community Primary School.
Speaking during the event, Chairman Kasali expressed gratitude to the senator for the intervention and stressed the importance of community ownership.
“We are deeply grateful for these projects. It is our hope that the people of Akodo-Ise and other beneficiary communities will take ownership and ensure proper maintenance so that these facilities continue to serve generations,” he said.
The initiative underscores Senator Abiru’s commitment to improving the quality of life for his constituents, particularly through investments in critical sectors such as health and education.
