The political atmosphere in Epe was charged with excitement as the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, FHTI, officially flagged off her ward-to-ward re-election campaign on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, with a vibrant and successful visit to Wards A1 and A3.
EpeInsights reports that the kickoff drew an overwhelming crowd, as thousands of residents, party loyalists, youth organizations and community leaders turned out to show their support for the woman widely hailed as the “architect of modern Epe.”
The energy of the campaign flag-off was palpable. From singing and dancing to heartfelt testimonials, the event captured the strong emotional bond between Hon. Animashaun and the people she serves.
Surrounded by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and local political figures, she received a hero’s welcome.
Speaking to the cheering crowd, Hon. Animashaun reaffirmed her dedication to people-centered governance.
“This campaign is about more than politics, it’s about people. It’s about sustaining the progress we’ve made and pushing further to build the Epe of our dreams,” she said.
During her first term, Hon. Animashaun’s administration made notable strides in areas such as infrastructure development, healthcare delivery, education support, and youth empowerment.
She emphasized the need to build on those achievements:
“We’ve laid a strong foundation—now it’s time to expand, improve, and deepen our impact. The next phase will be about consolidation and reaching every corner of Epe with even more developmental strides.”
Among those present was Chief Wasiu Odubiyi, a respected APC chieftain, who praised her leadership as “transparent, inclusive, and visionary,” noting that her style has earned the trust of all age groups across the local government.

The campaign train moves to more wards on Thursday, June 26, as Hon. Animashaun continues to engage constituents and unveil her “Next-Level Agenda”—a blueprint rooted in continuity, impact, and inclusive growth.
With the central campaign theme, “Built on Progress. Driven by Vision,” Princess Surah Animashaun is clearly signaling a forward-looking agenda anchored on the gains of the past and the promise of a brighter future for Epe.
