The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Branch, has reiterated its commitment to empowering young people in the region, unveiling a range of new initiatives aimed at promoting youth development.

EpeInsights reports that the announcement was made by the Local Coordinator, Comrade Moibi Ibrahim, during a recent radio program where he discussed the council’s ongoing projects and upcoming plans.

Moibi highlighted the council’s special focus on the 2025 Children’s Day celebration, scheduled for May 27, which will feature activities designed not just for entertainment, but for education and empowerment.

“Our focus this year is to make Children’s Day a platform for growth and empowerment,” Moibi said. “We’re introducing a project that will ignite creativity and encourage leadership among young people.”

He also stressed the importance of vocational training and entrepreneurship as practical tools for tackling youth unemployment, urging young Nigerians to embrace skill acquisition as a viable alternative to traditional employment.

“Skill acquisition is essential. It’s time our youth rise to the occasion and create opportunities for themselves,” he added.

Moibi called on stakeholders across both the public and private sectors to support initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and fostering sustainable youth development in Epe and beyond.NYCN Epe Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment, Unveils New Initiatives Ahead of Children’s Day
