The Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, has formally debunked a misleading post currently circulating across social media and online platforms, which falsely claims that the Post-UTME Nursing Admission Form for the 2025/2026 academic session is now available for sale.

EpeInsights reports that the Provost of the College, Dr. (Mrs.) Ayodeji Ogunmuyiwa, in an official statement categorically dismissed the publication as false, misleading and the handiwork of fraudulent individuals attempting to exploit prospective applicants and members of the public.

Dr. Ogunmuyiwa clarified that the College has not commenced the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session and therefore has not released any Post-UTME forms for sale.

She warned that the public should be wary of such misinformation being spread by unscrupulous elements who often use social media platforms and unverified websites to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

According to the Provost, all legitimate updates regarding admissions into LASCON will be officially communicated through credible national newspapers, the College’s official website, and its verified social media handles.

She urged applicants and parents to wait for the official announcement, which will also contain clear guidelines for the Computer Assisted Screening (CAS) process. No Admission Yet: LASCON Refutes Viral Post on Post-UTME Form

She further advised members of the public to avoid making any payments into private or personal accounts, noting that LASCON only uses designated official accounts for any financial transactions related to admissions or other services.

Any request to pay into a personal account should be treated as suspicious and promptly reported.

For accurate and up-to-date information, prospective candidates and other stakeholders are encouraged to reach out to the College directly, visit the official website at www.lascon.edu.ng, or follow the College’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle @LASCONigando.

Dr. Ogunmuyiwa reiterated the institution’s commitment to transparency and integrity in its admission processes and emphasized the need for the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to admission-related scams.
