The English Premier League, EPL match result leaves the Gunners 15 points behind leaders Liverpool, although they have one game in hand.

Speaking after the game, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, singled out Alejandro Garnacho for praise following their 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

Although Garnacho was not on the scoresheet, as Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring before Declan Rice equalised for the Gunners, Amorim was pleased his team scored first and insisted they had enough chances to win the game.

The Manchester United manager was pleased his team scored first and insisted they had enough chances to win the game.

He told BBC Match of the Day: “It helps when you score a goal and don’t suffer [concede first]; you can feel the energy in the stadium.

“At this moment, we are trying to win games and stay compact. We were very close to scoring in the second half.

“We were really competitive, and I think that is important. We pushed forward rather than sitting back.

“We had some opportunities to win the game. Arsenal put a lot of men inside the box to defend, and I think Alejandro Garnacho played a complete game, which helped us a lot.”

On the other hand, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta told his players they must perform better following the 1-1 draw at Manchester United.

“When we had the first half that we had, where we were exceptional, we didn’t test the keeper,” Arteta told Sky Sports.

“We had some unbelievable situations, but we didn’t get the final shot or the last pass.

“We didn’t capitalise, we rushed the game, we started to lose duels, and we could have ended up losing it.”

On Arsenal’s struggles in front of goal, he added: “Sometimes that is what is missing.

“The execution has to reach the right player, and the right player has to take the shot. How we conceded chances in certain moments was not acceptable.

“They have so much quality, and they pick the right player, which normally ends in a goal.

“We opened the gate to lose the game. There was no reason to lose, but we opened it ourselves. I will defend my players all the time, but in those moments, we have to do better.”

Meanwhile, Epe Insights reports that the result leaves the Gunners 15 points behind leaders Liverpool, although they have one game in hand.
