The Executive Officers Conference of the 57 Chairmen in Lagos State has officially announced its leadership team for the current term.
EpeInsights reports that the conference comprised of chairpersons from various Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across Lagos State, working collectively to enhance governance and coordination at the local level.
Leading the conference as Chairman is Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa of Ibeju-Lekki LGA. Supporting him in key administrative roles are Hon. Usman Akanbi Hamzat from Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, serving as Secretary and Hon. Bamidele Yussuf Sulaiman from Surulere LGA, who holds the position of Treasurer.
The Vice Chairmanship is divided regionally to better represent the diverse areas of Lagos State. Bada Abolanle Samiat of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA has been appointed Vice Chairman for the East, Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo of Ifelodun LCDA as Vice Chairman for Lagos West and Muibi Alade Folawiyo of Lagos-Island East LCDA as Vice Chairman for the Central region.
Other officers include Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba of Ijede LCDA as Welfare Officer, Yisa Abiola Jubril of Iba LCDA as Organising Secretary, and Adeola Adetoro of Eti-Osa LGA as Financial Secretary. The role of Public Relations Officer is held by Adebayo Olasoju from Isolo LCDA, while Moyosore Ogunlewe of Kosofe LGA serves as the Legal Officer.
Two Ex-Officio members, Akeem Daud from Ikeja LGA and Idowu Sebanjo A. from Apapa LGA, complete the executive team.
This leadership group is expected to foster stronger collaboration among the local government chairmen, streamline administrative processes and promote effective local governance throughout Lagos State.
The appointment of these officers highlights a commitment to organized, efficient, and inclusive management of the state’s local councils.
