Lagos State University (LASU) has once again proven its standing as a cradle of excellence, as one of its brightest stars, Lawal Maryam Abiodun, stole the spotlight at the Nigerian Law School’s Call to Bar ceremony held on July 10, 2025, in Abuja.
EpeInsights reports that Maryam, a graduate of LASU’s Faculty of Law (Common and Islamic Law), was named the Best Graduating Female Student and the Second Overall Best Graduating Student among a cohort of 7,134 newly qualified lawyers, a monumental feat that has drawn nationwide recognition.
Representing the Vice-Chancellor at the ceremony, Professor Kareem Olatoye, Dean of the Faculty of Law, praised Maryam as a beacon of academic brilliance and integrity.
