LASRRA, SEED Foundation Launch Raffle Draw to Drive Resident Registration in Low-Fee Private Schools

To boost resident registration and uplift underserved schools, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has partnered with SEED Care & Support Foundation to introduce an innovative raffle draw initiative targeted at low-fee private schools.

Epe Insights learnt that the inaugural prize presentation ceremony was held at LASRRA Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, and students from five selected schools received educational gifts through the raffle, marking a new phase in community-driven educational support.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, General Manager of LASRRA, highlighted the agency’s commitment to inclusive development. “This initiative ensures no community is left behind. It reflects our focus on enriching the educational experience in schools that serve disadvantaged populations,” she said.

The partnership with SEED Foundation is set to be a recurring, quarterly event. Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola added that future editions would also cater to teachers, offering tools and materials to improve classroom delivery and learning outcomes.

Founder and Executive Director of SEED Care & Support Foundation, Mrs. Olanrewaju Oniyitan, reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to equity and social impact. “We believe in the power of inclusion, collaboration, and identity. Our work with low-fee schools creates a ripple effect across educational outcomes and supports the Lagos State THEMES Plus Agenda,” she noted.

Since launching in 2024 with just seven schools and 570 registered individuals, the initiative has expanded significantly, now involving 63 schools and over 3,200 registered pupils.

“This is about giving every child—regardless of background—a fair shot at success,” Mrs. Oniyitan emphasized.

The event climaxed with the presentation of prizes to pupils from five schools: De-Ample Gate Schools (Mushin), Adtak College (Ikorodu), Nasiratul-Azeez Islamic School (Lekki LCDA), Afraz Private School (Ojodu), and Glory-Access Schools (Egan-Igando).

Through this initiative, LASRRA and SEED Foundation are not only promoting resident registration but also demonstrating how strategic partnerships can transform lives and learning in Lagos State.
