Lagos State Announces New Executive Officers for Conference of 57 Local Government Chairmen

In a strategic move to enhance local governance coordination across Lagos State, the Conference of 57 Chairmen representing all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) has appointed its new Executive Officers.

EpeInsights reports that the announcement follows the recent swearing-in of all chairmen by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LGA, was appointed Chairman of the Conference 57 Chairmen.

Supporting him as Secretary is Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye LGA. Together, they lead a team dedicated to fostering collaboration, peer leadership and efficient administration among the chairmen of Lagos State’s 57 local government councils.

  • Treasurer: Hon. Bamidele Yussuf Sulaiman (Surulere LGA)
  • Vice Chairman (East): Hon. Bada Abolanle Samiat (Ikosi-Isheri LCDA)
  • Vice Chairman (Lagos West): Hon. Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo (Ifelodun LCDA)
  • Vice Chairman (Central): Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo (Lagos-Island East LCDA)
  • Welfare Officer: Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba (Ijede LCDA)
  • Organising Secretary: Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Iba LCDA)
  • Financial Secretary: Hon. Adeola Adetoro (Eti-Osa LGA)
  • Public Relations Officer: Hon. Adebayo Olasoju (Isolo LCDA)
  • Legal Officer: Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe (Kosofe LGA)
  • Ex-Officio Members: Hon. Akeem Daud (Ikeja LGA) and Hon. Idowu Sebanjo A. (Apapa LGA)

This executive team is tasked with ensuring purposeful dialogue and effective coordination on policies, governance issues, and grassroots development initiatives across Lagos State.
