As the world marked the 2025 edition of World Teachers’ Day on October 5, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has extended heartfelt appreciation to teachers across the council area and beyond, describing them as the “unseen architects of our tomorrow.”
EpeInsights reports that in his commemorative message titled “Teachers: The Unseen Architects of Our Tomorrow,” Anomo lauded educators for their invaluable role in shaping future generations, emphasizing that their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
He noted that while the world often celebrates visible achievers such as doctors, engineers, and leaders, the foundation of every profession is laid by teachers who devote their time and passion to nurturing minds and inspiring greatness.
“Every 5th of October, the world pauses to honour the torchbearers of knowledge and moulders of the future, our teachers,” Anomo said.
“But beyond a date on the calendar, this day reminds us that behind every great doctor, engineer, leader or innovator, there was once a teacher who believed, guided and inspired.”
The council boss commended teachers within Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for their commitment, resilience and sacrifices, describing them as nation-builders and silent architects shaping destinies through their daily work in classrooms and communities.
“Your patience, passion, and unwavering dedication to the growth of our children form the foundation upon which our community stands tall,” he added.
Anomo reaffirmed the council’s commitment to continually support the teaching profession by providing an enabling environment where teachers can thrive and learners can flourish. He assured that education remains a top priority for his administration, noting that empowering teachers is central to achieving sustainable community development.
“As a council, we reaffirm our commitment to continually support the teaching profession to create an enabling environment where teachers thrive and the learners they nurture flourish,” he said.
He also used the occasion to reflect on the broader significance of teaching, describing it as a sacred calling rather than just a career path.
“Let today serve as a reminder that teaching is not just a job, it is a calling, one that molds minds, uplifts societies, and builds nations. Thank you for being the light that never dims, even when the path is rough,” he concluded.
The statement, signed by Anomo on behalf of the Executive Council, Legislative Arm, Management, Staff, and the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, reaffirmed the council’s admiration and gratitude to all teachers for their role as the bedrock of progress and the heartbeat of society.
