In a strategic move to deepen security cooperation, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Tuesday received the newly appointed Commanding Officer of the 81 Division Base Ordnance Depot, Epe, Lt. Col. S. T. Enye.

Welcoming the new Commanding Officer, Hon. Olowa expressed appreciation for the courtesy visit, emphasizing the critical role of military-civilian synergy in sustaining peace and security.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Akadiri Ayorinde in a statement noted that the Chairman also recounted positive experiences with previous commanders of the depot, expressing optimism for a continued productive relationship under Lt. Col. Enye’s leadership.
“I want to commend your visit and reiterate how instrumental past commanding officers have been in supporting our community’s safety,” Olowa stated. “We look forward to building on that legacy with you.”
In his response, Lt. Col. Enye thanked the Executive Chairman for the warm reception, affirming the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and its communities.
“The Army remains committed to its core mandate of defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria and ensuring the security of all citizens,” he said.
The visit highlights the proactive approach of the Olowa-led administration in prioritizing security and fostering strong institutional relationships with security agencies.
